Information related to testing the upload feature for the desktop itself was reported by a well-known social media consultant, Matt Navarra. Navarra had time to display a screenshot on his Twitter account which showed a post button on the desktop version of Instagram which was located next to the explore icon or Direct Messages.

— Matt Navarra (@MattNavarra) June 24, 2021 After pressing the post button, users can select the photo or video they want to upload by drag and drop or select it manually with the ‘Select From Computer’ button. Users can also do a number of editing such as applying filters and others. This is a feature that is useful for users who want to perform quick editing. Then we can only add information such as caption, location, Alt text to tags. It also shows the Turn Off Commenting feature which makes posts unable to be commented on by other users. Unfortunately, there is still no information regarding when the posting feature on the desktop will be presented, but if the trial has been carried out, it is likely that the release of this feature would be happening sooner than later.
