The website DDoS-for-Hire also referred to as DDoS booters or DDoS stressors, has made it possible for users to subscribe to and run DDoS attacks on sites and other Internet infrastructures. The Netherlands authorities announced that they had obtained assistance last week from web-based hosting firms, domain registrars, Europol, Interpol, and the FBI. Authorities did not release the names of 15 DDoS providers. It is the second time that Dutch police have acted in the last six months against DDoS-for-hire. The Netherlands took a whole web hosting company in October of last year, which provides hosting and backend infrastructure for tens of DDoS botnets and booter services. In December 2018, when the FBI and Europol led a campaign which had just before Christmas fifteen DDoS booter services, most of which DDoS attacks were known to take place, the Dutch police even participated in an international crackdown on the booters DDoS. Aside from firing the 15 DDoS departments last week, the Netherlands police have said they were detained today. Authorities have announced that on March 20, this year, they have arrested a 19-year-old teenager from the town of Breda for starting the D DDoS attack. MijnOverheid.nl, a site where Dutch citizens are obtaining Dutch government documents, was targeted by police, and Overheid.nl, a general information site for the government. In the coming days, the juvenile will be put before a Dutch judge.
