VMware revealed on Tuesday its intentions to purchase Nyansa, a California-based Palo Alto company that offers AI network analysis. The contract will be completed in the first part of VMware’s FY2021. The terms of the agreement have not been announced. VMware aims to merge Nyansa Voyance, the network monitoring and IoT security AIOps application, with VeloCloud’s VMware SD-WAN. The mix will allow VMware to further extend its offerings to corporate premises and workplaces by incorporating software-defined features to Wi-Fi and LAN applications. Comprehensive data on network usage and device output can be accessed by consumers. Founded six years ago, Nyansa currently scans user network traffic across thousands of customer sites from more than 20 million client devices, said VMware.
